Romanticism means the state or quality of being romantic. There are some certain characteristic attitudes of Romanticism such as - a deepened appreciation of the beauties of nature , a general exaltation of emotion over reason and the senses of over intellect and a heightened examination of human personality and its moods and mental potentialities. Romanticism in life means an escapism from our boring mundane life and follow a lifestyle that priortizes the appreciation of beauty ,emotion , individuality and the pursuit of happiness. Romanticising our life gives us the freedom from regular rules and regulations and have authentic experiences of living life to the fullest . It’s the characteristic of devotion to love, beauty and worship of nature. To me , Romanticism in life means the art of living a beautiful and artistic life rather than living an ordinary life.

We live only once but if we do it right , once is enough . It’s true that life is not a bed of roses but it is also true that we have got only one life to live so we should make the most of it . Life is very short , so we should make every second divine. That’s why romanticism in life is so important to live a happy life. Romanticising life doesn’t really mean materialising it with expensive and attractive stuffs. It simply asks us to appreciate what we have right in front of us and to live a happy life with intention, no matter how mundane our daily rituals might be - a reminder to look for moments of beauty and embrace minimalism. One thing about life is that we can’t control everything in our life but we do have control of how we view our  situation. Now-a-days , romanticising life is very popular among young women. For the last three or four years, the phrase “romanticise your life” has emerged on social media, influencing mass people for action, rising the popularity among young generation. Basically romanticism in life is a practice of paying attention to the present moment and becoming aware of your physical sensations , thoughts and emotions in a non judgemental way . It also offers a sense of agency, a feeling of control that has been sorely lacking in life. It’s about being positive about the things that life has to offer, regardless of whether the circumstance is what you imagined or wanted.

There are some specific cute little ways that I usually apply to romanticise my life . Like cleaning my room and re-decorating it in my own personal way; buying plants & flowers on random days just to entertain myself and adding colors to my home ; wearing fragrances and wearing beautiful outfits and taking myself to solo dates ; doing picnics with friends; taking pictures of random things and making a collection of random photography;  reading different kind of fictional books on days when life gets a little boring ;writing journals about daily life ;lighting up scented candles & listening to variety of music to change the mood ; cooking & experimenting new dishes for loved ones, baking stuffs ; these are basically my kinda way to romanticise my life.

Here are some of the main traits of romanticism in life that I would like to discuss-

Emotional Intensity: Romanticism values passion and intuition over reason and logic, and it promotes the expression and investigation of strong emotions.

Relationship with Nature: People frequently regard nature as a source of inspiration and spiritual rejuvenation. In natural environments, romantic people look for comfort, inspiration, and a sense of community.

Individualism: Romanticism promotes the value of personal freedom, creativity, and self-expression while recognizing the individuality of every person.

Imagination and Creativity: Romanticism places a strong focus on imagination, emphasizing fantasy, creativity, and the ability of the creative mind to probe the sublime and transcend the ordinary.

Appreciating Beauty: Romanticism recognizes beauty in the unusual, the enigmatic, and the sublime. It promotes the enjoyment of aesthetics, music, literature, and other forms of art that touch the human spirit and arouse powerful emotions.

Spirituality and Transcendence: In an effort to go beyond the confines of the physical world and establish a connection with more profound realities, romanticism frequently examines themes of spirituality, transcendence, and the paranormal.

Rejection of Industrialization: Romanticism frequently calls for a return to more basic, genuine lifestyles, criticizing the detrimental effects of modernization, urbanization, and industry on the human soul.

Romanticism in life is essentially about attempting to live truly in line with one's greatest passions, accepting the richness and complexity of the human experience, and seeking beauty and purpose in the world around us.
