My Favourite Historical Place in Bangladesh

"Bagha Shahi Mosque" is my favourite go to historical place because it is situated in my native village which is in Bagha,Rajshahi.It is a famous mosque which was built in 1523-1524 by Sultan Nusrat Shah.The mosque is located on 256 bighas of land.The mosque is surrounded by a wall on all sides and has two entrances on either side of the wall.Terracotta designs are present everywhere inside and outside the mosque.The huge lake next to the mosque is also a place of interest.Besides,there is a Mazar Sharif next to the Mosque.

I used to visit this place a lot beacuse I grew up here.As I started my school life there(Rajshahi) , sometimes  my school teachers also took me there for picnics.After shifting to Dhaka I used to miss this place a lot beacuse I used to play there with my parents and friends.But whenever I go to Bagha(Rajshahi) it is a must for me to visit this place beacause it takes five minutes from my house.It gives so much peace whenever I visit this place.




A picture of me probably when I was 6 or 7 years old.Baba used to take me here a lot.I was standing infront of that famous lake(dighi) which is  just beside the mosque.

Also another interesting thing is there is a picture of this mosque on the back of the Fifty Taka Note.It feels really great whenever I share this information with someone but I don't know why maybe beacause the place is very close to my heart.

My cousins were clicking pictures infront of the mosque.Had so much fun that day.It was a winter evening and we all went for a walk there and talked a lot about our old good times and lastly we had tea together.



The night view was amazing that day.The sky was so soothing. I went there with my cousin who is also my bestfriend.We talked about our old times which we used to spend here in our childhood . Whenever I'm sad I go to this place and this place makes me feels better.





These are some pictures which I took.I love to do photography so whenever I visit this place or wherever I go I try to click pictures.Also sky makes me happy and last but not the least this place will remain very close to my heart.It will always be that place that will matter the most for me.As a architecture student I love to visit historical place.But this will remain special beacuse I have grown up visiting this place.Also the architectural features surprises me everytime whenever I visit this place.I didn't know much about architectural things before but now when I understand things it amazes me a lot.

Many people come to visit this place, especially on Fridays this place is very crowded.I love it when I see many people come to visit this place so whenever I meet or talk to anyone I suggest everyone to visit this place at least once.As this place has soothed my mind,I think anyone else visiting this place will soothe theirs as well.

  I don't think I was completely comfortable wearing my school uniform growing up. There were so many times where I wished it was different. I always felt like it's somewhat limited and it did not fulfil the purpose it meant to, to begin with.  "Shirt Vs Skirt" In our country, uniform pretty much means shirts for boys and skirt or kameez and a piece of veil tucked in with a belt around the waist.
